Gladshiem

Hello, friends! I am Gladshiem the Storyteller! As a happily married man in my mid 40s from Houston, Texas, I’ve been an avid role-player and storyteller for over 30 years. With extensive experience across various gaming genres, I’m here to bring your adventures to life.

1000+

Campaigns Completed

I have run more campaigns than I can remember across many genres. At least 90% of these were original stories of my own creation.

85%

Player Satisfaction

Not every storyteller is a match for a player’s gameplay style. Players who prefer combat and rule management over story may be dissatisfied.

30+

Years of Experience

I have been doing this a fairly long time and began my TTRPG experience on Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (Before 1st Edition).

Areas of Experience

High Fantasy

Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons & Dragons is the main ruleset I place my stories within. I have more experience with this genre than any other.

Low Fantasy

Dungeons & Dragons Homebrew

Playing medieval worlds with little to no magic or monsters is a strong alternate to Dungeons & Dragons while using the same ruleset. I have significant experience in Low Fantasy campaigns.

Horror

Any Ruleset

Horror is a genre I consistently receive good feedback from. While not as popular as other genres, horror can be one of the more fun story types to tell and play through. Horror is also easily adaptable to any world or ruleset.

High Sci-Fi

Any Ruleset

Sci-Fi is one of my favorite genres and I have tried many different rulesets to accommodate players for this setting. Most of my experience is within Rifts, Cyberpunk, Shadowrun and Star Wars universes.

Retro Sci-Fi

Homebrew Rulesets

Steampunk, Fallout and other retrofuturism worlds are incredibly weird and fun to adventure in but usually require a homebrew ruleset to play. I have a few years of experience in storytelling for this genre.

Homebrew

Custom Ruleset

When a ruleset doesn’t exactly fit the world you want to play in then a “Homebrew” is how we do it. I have significant experience developing balanced rulesets for many different genres and mixes.

Fantasy Worlds of Adventure

Fantasy is the most popular and well known genre for roleplaying adventures. Here are a few examples of my fantasy worlds you can adventure within.

Menfelled

Dungeons & Dragons

This is a custom high fantasy world separated from The Forgotten Realms with its own history, lore, maps and plot lines

The Breach

Dungeons & Dragons Dark Sun

This is an island continent in the desert world of Dark Sun. Custom designed as a mixture between traditional Dark Sun and classic westerns.

The Black Isles

Dungeons & Dragons Ravenloft

A forgotten archipelago lost in the mists of Ravenloft that is well suited to fantasy horror campaigns.

The Veil

Dungeons & Dragons Outer Planes

A custom version of the popular Outer Planes where the rules of reality crumble and imagination is the only limitation.
