New Campaign
Stone Yard
Build a slave school, survive the arena road, and learn Menfelled through blood, contracts, and politics.
Ladders of Gold is a multi-player gladiator management game that features politics, intrigue and story elements set in a dark fantasy setting.
Use this page for one management concern at a time, then return to the dashboard for the next recommendation.
Welcome to Menfelled
Run a brutal traveling school, not just a list of fights
Start with three gladiator slaves, one companion slave, a little gold, and a dangerous road that gets richer and crueler the deeper you travel.
Opening Hook
Start on the road at Leonid's Pass
The first stop is hard country. New schools begin with three generated gladiator slaves, one companion slave, a road-camp Ludus, reserve gear, and enough coin to survive a few tense days.
A GCM account is required for live play. Each account gets one Arena Manager and one Ludus.
Core Loop
What a new player actually does
1. Found the banner
Create one Arena Manager for the GCM account, then found a named Ludus with banner colors and doctrine.
2. Train and position
Read the dashboard pressure, train the ready fighters, use companions, and keep morale ahead of scandal.
3. Claim contracts
Take appearances, sponsored bouts, or harder arena work, then read the reports and decide whether to push or recover.
4. Travel deeper
Move from Leonid's Pass into the Avarran and Helation circuits, where every city values violence differently.
Why It Stays Interesting
Story pressure is built into the management
Noble houses, priests, governors, and fixers change what a "good" win looks like in each stop.
Fighters die, but the Arena Manager keeps the campaign continuity, quests, and faction relationships alive.
The Ludus specialty changes which weapons sing in your yard and which ones always feel a little wrong.
